Prior to joining Oaktree in May 2007, Mr. Velu spent nine years at Countrywide Capital Markets, most recently as a Senior Vice President and Technical/Application Development Manager in the Information Technology department.
In this capacity, he oversaw the development, implementation and integration of multi-tier, real-time credit risk management and finance trading applications, as well as middle office applications and back office systems.
Before that, Mr. Velu spent more than four years at Microsoft Consulting Services as a Consultant.
Prior to that, he spent two years as a Developer at Ramco Systems in India.
Mr. Velu received a B.S.
degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University and an M.S.
degree in Computer Science from PSG College of Technology in India.
