Steve S. Magami

Mr. Magami has led a career as a private equity investor and C-level executive.
Prior to joining Gulf Capital Partners, Mr. Magami was a General Partner of ARC Investment Partners, a private equity firm backed by several prominent families with over $10 billion of net worth, which he helped build with an emphasis on renewable energy and focused on emerging markets.
During such time, Mr. Magami co-founded, financed, and helped build as a President of two publicly-traded renewable energy companies based in Latin America, including Stratos Renewables Corporation, a large-scale agro-energy project, and Pure Biofuels Corp., one of the largest biodiesel players in the world.
Previously, Mr. Magami managed private equity funds, with a primary focus on the financial services industry, for Goldman Sachs & GE among others, and played an instrumental role in building a portfolio of 20 companies through buyouts and growth capital and venture investments yielding an aggregate realized IRR of nearly 50%.
Mr. Magami was principally responsible for executed investments in, and/or divested, 13 portfolio companies with a total value of $320M at entry and $1.4 billion at exit.
He started his career as an investment banker advising large buyout firms on industry roll-up & consolidation strategies, including Hicks Muse First & Tate, Jordan Companies, and GTCR.
Mr. Magami is the Chairman of the Board of Stratos Renewables and a member of the Board of EMQ Children's Services.
He has previously served on the boards of other public and private companies and is an active supporter of various charitable and non-profit organizations.
