Meridian International Center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit diplomacy center that was founded in 1960. The non-profit company is based in Washington on a four-acre campus with two historic properties. Meridian International Center's mission is to strengthen engagement between the US and the world to find solutions on shared challenges. The American company partner with the government, the private sector, and the diplomatic community on three core pillars of programs: Leadership, Culture, and Collaboration. The company administers professional and educational exchange programs, fellowship programs, and uses the visual and performing arts to achieve foreign policy objectives in 59 countries since 1978. Meridian formally created the Meridian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (MCCD) in 2014 to better address this mission. MCCD’s exhibitions have traveled to over 380 host venues in 44 states. Stuart W. Holliday has been the CEO of the company since 2006.
