Tamia Alvi

Ms. Tamia Alvi is Staff Accountant at Blackstreet Capital Management LLC.
Previously, Ms. Alvi worked at the academic department at Strayer University where she gained experience in student accounts, financial aid and internal audit.
Prior to that, Ms. Alvi was in Hong Kong where she worked as a Staff Accountant at Access to Education, an education group that trains teachers and designs education material.
Ms. Alvi volunteers as a Certified Tax Preparer with the IRS for their VITA program every year.
She helps prepare individual tax returns for middle to low income families.
Last year’s VITA program resulted in tax refunds of over $4.4 million by focusing on several credits.
Ms. Alvi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Strayer University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
