The firm was founded in 1999 and their main shareholders are Zhongtai Trust and Investment Co. Ltd., China Everbright Securities Co. Ltd., China Galaxy Securities Co. Ltd., and Guangdong Securities Co. DCFM manages the Da Cheng range of open-end mutual funds and the Jing range of closed-end investment funds for institutional clients and private investors.

UBS SDIC Fund Management Co., Ltd. (UBS SDIC) is an investment management subsidiary of SDIC Taikang Trust Co., Ltd., itself an indirect subsidiary of SDIC Capital Co., Ltd.
