Adam Schwartz

Dr. Adam Schwartz is a Director of Research & Product Development at Fermat Capital Management LLC.
He has an extensive background in mathematical modeling, advanced database design, and high performance computing techniques, as well as extensive experience in fixed-income and equity markets trading.
Prior to joining Fermat Capital in 2007, he worked as a quant-trader and developed pricing/trading models and database/computational infrastructure for statistical arbitrage and high frequency trading at BMO Nesbitt Burns and Commerzbank (New York).
Mr. Schwartz previously managed, among other fixed-income securities and derivatives, a portfolio of catastrophe bond investments at Bracebridge Capital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, making him, in the late 1990's, among the earliest active managers in the catastrophe bond market.
He received a PhD in condensed-matter physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1997) and BS degrees in both physics and electrical engineering from M.I.T.
(1991).
