Alaa Halawi

Alaa started his career at Morood Investment Company since its inception in 2012 and heads the Portfolio Management and Wealth Advisory teams.
As head of the investment team, he takes a leadership role in investment decision-making, and is responsible for setting and executing the overall client portfolio policy, developing short-term and long-term investment strategies, and overseeing portfolio risk management.
Alaa also manages the execution of the firm’s business plan, develops strategies for growth and acts as liaison with investors.
Over the years, Alaa has successfully closed multiple transactions for Morood Investment Company in local and international Private Equity, Capital Markets and Real Estate investments.
Alaa is a CFA Charter-holder and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Arab Open University, Beirut, Lebanon.
