AltaGas Income Trust is a closed end income trust. The Trust creates value by acquiring, growing and optimizing gas and power infrastructure, including a focus on renewable energy sources. The company physically gathers processes, extracts and transports natural gas, contractually markets and transports natural gas and electrical power, converts energy across and along the energy value chain to create higher value-added products. The Trust develops its asset base by seeking opportunities for expansion and acquisition in the natural gas, natural gas liquids and power businesses in Canada and the northern United States.

The Group's principal activity is to extract natural gas liquids and crude oil. Natural gas is a reliable, clean burning fossil fuel that is used as a source of heat and in the generation of electrical power for residential, industrial and commercial customers. The Natural gas and NGLs are critical raw materials used in the manufacture of petrochemicals and related products. The Group has three business lines consisting of natural gas processing, NGL extraction and NGL or NGL by-product transportation.

Highwater Power Corp. provides hydroelectric power generation services. It operates two 10 MW run-of-river hydroelectric projects located 150 miles from Vancouver. The company was founded in 1983 and is located in Vancouver, Canada.
