David Kettler

Dave joined H.I.G as Managing Director in 2001 and is focused primarily on venture capital investments in telecommunications, information technology, and internet/e-Commerce.
Dave is located in the Atlanta office.
Prior to H.I.G., Dave was a Vice President of BellSouth’s Science & Technology organization and Chief Architect for the BellSouth Network.
Dave formed the Science & Technology organization in 1987, which under his tenure grew to become an integral part of the formulation of BellSouth’s strategies and technology – particularly the design, development, and deployment of advanced services.
He has been a leading pioneer in the introduction of new and innovative telecommunication technologies.
Prior to BellSouth, Dave spent over 15 years at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he managed numerous departments.
He also led activities in Strategic Planning at AT&T Corporate Headquarters.
Dave earned his BEE, MSEE, and Ph.D.EE from the University of Virginia.
