Duc Nguyen

Mr. Duc Nguyen is a Wealth Manager at Wedge Associates SA. He is also a member of the investment committee.
He joined in 2009.
Since then, he has overseen all accounts and investments and is specifically in charge of mandatory selection, risk control, and reporting.
He also takes part in strategic asset allocation decisions.
In 1995, he completed a one-year internship with Credit Suisse in Geneva, as an Assistant to the officer in charge of mortgage and corporate clients, Alexandre Zeller.
He was hired specifically in the context of the restructuring of the bank’s Credit Department, as a result of which sales and credit issuance were separated into two distinct units, to eliminate the risks inherent in overlapping responsibilities.
In 1998, he became a discretionary Portfolio Manager in the Middle East and Asia group at Credit Suisse Private Banking in Geneva.
He was placed in charge of three of the five biggest discretionary commissions of Credit Suisse Private Banking in Switzerland, and of the choice of investments in Asia.
On the strength of that initial experience, he joined Credit Suisse Luxembourg as an investment adviser in the International Unit, home to the bank’s Ultra High Net Worth clients resident in Switzerland, the Middle East, and South America.
He co-managed the Unit’s discretionary accounts and advised its trading clients.
In 2004, he returned to Geneva to manage a portfolio of special customers in the onshore Ultra High Net Worth Unit of Credit Suisse.
For five years he was in charge of a highly demanding clientele made up of institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, legal and notary firms, trust companies, and private clients.
Mr. Nguyen obtained a degree in accounting and finance from the University of North London, in London (United Kingdom).
