Kinder Morgan Management LLC is a limited partner in and manages and controls the business and affairs of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (KMP). KMP is an energy transportation and storage company and owns an investment in or operates pipelines and terminals in North America. Its pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, CO2 and other products, and terminals store petroleum products and chemicals and handle such products as ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel. The CO2 segment produces, markets and transports carbon dioxide to oil fields that use carbon dioxide to increase production of oil. The Terminals segment consists of owned or operated liquids, bulk terminal facilities and materials handling facilities located throughout the U.S and portions of Canada, which together trans load, store and deliver a wide variety of bulk, petroleum, petrochemical and other liquids products for customers across the U.S. and Canada. The Kinder Morgan Canada segment transports crude oil and refined petroleum products pipelines from Alberta, Canada to marketing terminals and refineries in British Columbia, the state of Washington and the Rocky Mountains and central regions of the U.S. and five associated product terminal facilities. Kinder Morgan Management was founded on February 14, 2001 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
