Mrs. Ioana graduated from Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal and started her career as an R&D engineer successively at Schlumberger and STMicroelectronics.
She received an MPhil degree on the production and characterization of nanometer-scale structures from St-Johns College, Cambridge (U.K.), and worked thereafter at J.P.
Morgan in M&A advisory and transactions execution.
Since 1999, she had been a VC at Sofinnova Partners and one of the initial partners at zouk ventures, responsible for deal sourcing and investment execution for the hardware technology area.
Mrs Simionescu joined Seventure Partners in 2007 as a Venture Partner and is on the board of portfolio company Bewan and Anyware Technologies.
