Mr. Skirkanich founded the firm in 1985 and serves as its Chief Investment Officer.
He was formerly a Managing Director of Dreman Value Management, Inc., an investment counseling firm which managed pension, profit sharing, endowment and other tax-exempt funds and individual taxable assets.
His responsibilities there centered on research and portfolio management.
Prior to that, he was a Vice President of Investments at Kidder, Peabody & Company and Shearson/American Express, where he managed individual, corporate taxable and tax-exempt accounts for 12 years.
He began his investment career as an analyst with Bache & Co. Prior to embarking on his investment career, he served three years with the U.S.
State Department, spending two and a half years in Latin America, and two years with Ernst & Ernst in both the audit and tax areas.
Mr. Skirkanich is a graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and the Board of Overseers for its School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Community YMCA and, by gubernatorial appointment, serves as a member of the State Investment Council of the State of New Jersey.
