Tarantino is Managing Partner at Westerly Capital Management LLC.
Before co-founding Westerly on 2006, Mr. Tarantino was Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading at Hambrecht & Quist and then at JPMorgan Chase.
His positions and responsibilities included membership on the Operating Committee, management of the Derivative Department and OTC and Listed Risk Management, membership of the Venture Portfolio Distribution Committee, and the pricing in the secondary market of hundreds of lead-managed initial public offerings and secondary issues.
Before that, he was a Senior Market Maker at Montgomery Securities and was a Market Maker at Hambrecht & Quist and Kidder Peabody.
He started his career in financial services with the National Association of Securities Dealers where he became Senior Examiner.
Mr. Tarantino has a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
