Jann Naef

Jann Naef, Product Marketing Director Jann Naef joined ZBD in 2009 and has overall responsibility for product marketing where he defines and delivers the product roadmap for the retail division in addition to other vertical markets.
An experienced retail IT practitioner, Jann has 20 years’ experience and has particular interest within the ESL (electronic shelf label) market.
As Managing Director of EKSI Limited, he undertook the first implementation of ESL in UK at SPAR and Texaco Shops, which integrated with price decision-support software and provided improved in-store inventory management.
Jann undertook a management buyout of EKSI, raised investment from an overseas company and subsequently concluded a cash sale for the business in 2003.
After post-graduate business training, Jann worked as a Systems Analyst for a UK RDBMS vendor, specialising in the design and delivery of retail solutions in USA, Europe & Far East through NCR and Fujitsu.
Jann has previously worked as retail solutions architect for Torex and retail consultant with PMC, as well as working for 18 months as retail strategy consultant for a nationwide UK retailer with over 700 outlets.
