Jerry Zucker

On Saturday, April 12 2008, our partner and a co-founder of Apropos, Jerry Zucker, passed away after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Jerry Zucker brings to Apropos more than 30 years of international business experience, including, over the last ten years, more than $2 billion in merger, acquisition and public offering transactions.
He is one of the founders of Apropos IT Ventures I, L.P., serving as a Managing Member of the General Partner, and is the largest Limited Partner in the first Fund.
Mr. Zucker has been involved in technology investing for nearly 27 years, and his contribution to Apropos is on a technology, scientific and business level.
Mr. Zucker is Apropos’ ambassador to the U.S.
market.
He is chairman, president, CEO, and founder of The InterTech Group, Inc. Included among InterTech’s technology holdings are Threshold Electronics and Versent, leaders in digital switching and gaming electronics, as well as retail, services, real estate operations, and related holdings throughout North America.
Through his Maple Leaf Heritage Investments, Mr. Zucker has recently acquired 18.37 percent of the Canadian retail giant, Hudson’s Bay Company [TSX: HBC].
Over the past decade, through the privately-held Mid-Atlantic Investors, Mr. Zucker has placed and managed large-scale investments in numerous US-based banking and financial institutions, including the arrangement and merger of several.
Over his 30-year business career, M Jerry Zucker has served in R&D, engineering, marketing, and operations management positions at various levels.
He has more than 300 invention disclosures that have resulted in numerous patents and commercially successful processes and products worldwide.
