Joseph Francis Hurley

Mr. Joseph F.
Hurley, IV, is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Inc. Also, he is a Portfolio Manager on the High Yield team.
He joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 and began his career in the investment industry in 2004.
He is responsible for investment decisions related to credit selection and sector allocation for the firm’s High Yield Middle Market strategy.
Mr. Hurley also contributes to high yield positioning across a range of Global and US Multi-Sector strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a Vice President on the corporate banking team focusing on real estate, gaming and leisure sectors at Scotiabank.
Previously, he helped found the proprietary trading desk at Scotiabank from 2007 until 2012 and worked on the bank’s sales and trading desk as a high yield publishing research analyst specializing in the paper/packaging and retailer sectors from 2004 until 2007.
Prior to that, he was a business and systems consultant with Deloitte Consulting.
Mr. Hurley earned a B.S.
in computer science and operations & strategic management from Boston College.
