Lawrence Bonassar

In addition to his role at Ivy Capital Partners, Dr. Bonassar is an Associate Professor of Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University's College of Engineering.
His research focuses on the regeneration and analysis of musculoskeletal tissues, including articular cartilage, intervertebral disc, and bone.
Dr. Bonassar joined Cornell University after five years on the faculty of the Center for Tissue Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
He completed postdoctoral fellowships in the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Center of Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Bonassar currently serves on the editorial board of the journal Tissue Engineering.
He earned his PhD and his MS from MIT's School of Material Science and Engineering and his BS from John Hopkins University's School of Material Science and Biomedical Engineering.
