Prior to joining Salman Partners, Ms. Newey was a Global Sector Marketer with UBS Warburg’s Global Basic Materials team in London, U.K.
She was ranked the #1 specialist salesperson in both the Paper & Forest Products and Building & Construction sectors in Thomson Extel’s 2003 European Client Survey.
Prior to her move to London in 2001, Ms. Newey covered the Canadian forestry sector as an equity research analyst with Morgan Stanley’s top-ranked global forest products team.
She started her career in the financial industry with CIBC Wood Gundy’s Paper & Forest products research team, following eight years in the engineering and construction field.
Ms. Newey is a registered Professional Engineer, holds a BSc in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration both from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.
