Mark Miles

Mr. Miles has 12 years experience in private equity, banking and finance, principally in the energy and utility sectors.
Prior to joining Highstar in June 2002, Mr. Miles has been dedicated to Highstar and has been primarily responsible for developing Highstar’s investment strategies in the power transmission and LNG sectors, as well as conducting due diligence for a number of power and pipeline transactions.
Previously Mr. Miles was Vice President of Finance at Azurix Corp., an affiliate of Enron Corp.
and prior to that was a Director in Enron North America’s power and gas marketing group.
Mr. Miles started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in the commodity derivatives group, where his primary focus was developing structured financing solutions for acquisition and development finance of energy and infrastructure assets.
Mr. Miles has an L.L.B.
from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an M.B.A.
from the International Institute of Management Development in Switzerland.
Mr. Miles is a Director of Northern Star Generation LLC.
