Wallace-Jones is a Divisional Director at Investec Wealth & Investment Ltd.
He leads a team of four portfolio investment managers who oversee a wide variety of onshore and offshore private client mandates.
Mr. Wallace-Jones personally manages private client portfolios, which frequently include Self-Invested Pension Plans, ISAs, family trusts and small charities.
He also works closely with intermediaries, such as independent financial advisers, accountants and solicitors, who introduce their clients to the discretionary portfolio expertise.
In addition, he sits on the Investment Policy Committee, which plays a key role in creating model portfolios.
Mr. Wallace-Jones believes that private client portfolio management is a very personal profession where the understanding of clients’ requirements is paramount.
His career began at JM Finn & Co in 1984, where he worked on the floor of the London Stock Exchange.
In 1986, he joined their private client team as a partners’ assistant.
During the stock market crash of 1987 and the early 1990s’ recession, he built his client base and learned the benefits of asset allocation and diversification.
Since leaving JM Finn in 1997, he worked with private clients for a number of fund managers.
Mr. Wallace-Jones also worked as an Investment Director at BNP Paribas Private Investment Management Ltd., and at Fortis Private Investment Management Ltd.
He has been a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (Chartered MCSI) since 1996.
