Merrie London

Ms. Merrie London joined Connecticut Innovations in 2009, along with other members of the Connecticut Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Office team, after the Connecticut SBIR Office was moved to CI.
As manager of SBIR, she supports small, high-tech Connecticut businesses that need research and development funding as well as funding for commercialization.
She reviews federal SBIR proposals, makes presentations to groups regarding federal SBIR funding, organizes matchmaking events for innovators, and meets with entrepreneurial high-tech and manufacturing companies to help them advance and commercialize their technologies.
An entrepreneur herself, in 1990, Ms. London founded her own business, Inspired Solutions Corporation, which became a leading presentations and marketing company with offices in three Connecticut locations.
Inspired Solutions successfully served Fortune 500 companies until 2002.
She then went on to establish another company, Harlequin Soaps, a global e-commerce company.
Her experience as an entrepreneur gives her firsthand knowledge and appreciation of the challenges and joys of business ownership.
Ms. London graduated from SUNY Binghamton and holds a Master of Library Science degree from SUNY Albany.
