He served on the Board of Directors for the SPARX Japan Long-Short Fund, Private Equity Fund, Internet Fund and Japan Fund.
Prior to SPARX, he was Director of Shimoko & Son’s, Inc., Aloha Juice Co. & Itoen (USA) Inc. responsible for marketing and manufacturing.
Mr. Shimoko was also the founder and CEO of InterMark Limited a company that specialized on the development of luxury condominiums and other real estate properties in Hawaii.
He began his career with Nomura Securities International, Ltd.
in New York in the institutional equity sales group.
Mr. Shimoko graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management of Entrepreneurship.
