Prior to LOM, Mr. deGruyther joined Research Capital in 2004 as the Health & Life Sciences Analyst.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and spent four years in the military, providing healthcare in locations ranging from the Canadian Arctic to the Saudi Arabian desert during the Gulf War.
After leaving the military, Mr. deGruyther completed a MBA at the Ivey School of Business and subsequently worked in business development at a not-for-profit research institute.
More recently, he worked in venture capital at MDS Capital Corp., where he participated in financing companies involved in such diverse fields as heart disease, cancer, neurology, and ophthalmology.
He has also worked in finance at Guidant Corp., where he developed systems for measuring sales performance, capital asset planning and building, managing international working capital, and business development.
Prior to joining Research Capital, Nigel was a health and life sciences sector analyst at First Associates.
