Øystein Børsum

Dr. Øystein Børsum is a Senior Economist at Swedbank AB.
He joined Swedbank in 2013, where he works on macroeconomic issues related to equity and fixed-income markets.
Dr. Børsum previously worked at the Norwegian Ministry of Finance (2005-2013), among other things on the investment strategy for the Government Pension Fund Global (Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, often called the petroleum fund).
He also has work experience from Norway’s central bank, Norges Bank (2004), and from Accenture (2002-2003), the consultancy.
Dr. Børsum holds a degree in business from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (2000), an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics (2001), and a PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo (2010).
He also studied political science at Sciences-Po in Paris (2002).
