In early 2005 he launched what is now Amati VCT and he also manages Amati VCT 2 after the investment management contract moved to Amati Global Investors in 2010.
Prior to 1998 he worked as a professional violinist, including a four year period with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Jourdan was previously employed as an Independent Non-Executive Director by Fox Marble Holdings Plc, a Non-Executive Director by Cantono Plc, a Founder by Amati VCT Plc, and a Portfolio Manager by First State Investment Management (UK) Ltd.
He also served on the board at Hebrides Ensemble.
