Mr. Prior to co-founding Longroad Asset Management LLC in April in2002, Mr. Coughlin has been involved in distressed investing for the past 18 years and has extensive experience in leading creditors committees, negotiating reorganization plans, and assuming control of distressed companies through debt.
As a chairman and board member of several companies, he also has general management expertise and has been a key player in assisting CEOs in refinancing and creating exit strategies resulting in significant returns.
For nine years prior to forming Longroad, Paul was a Co-Founder and General Partner of CoMac Partners, LP, a distressed investment partnership where he raised and managed over $400 million.
Mr. Coughlin began his career in 1986 as a credit analyst in the Management Training Program at Irving Trust Co. (now The Bank of New York) and continued to specialize in distressed investing as he moved to Deltec Securities as a Senior Analyst and then as a Portfolio Manager of distressed securities at both Halcyon Investments/Alan B.
Slifka & Co. from 1988-1991 and Whitehead Sterling in 1991-1992.
