Seth Byron Merrill

Mr. Seth B.
Merrill, CFA MBA, is an Investment Policy Committee Member at Aegis Wealth Group LLC.
Since 2017, he has worked in investments at Ensign Peak Advisors, the asset management arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He has over 15 years of investing experience.
From 2010 through 2016, Mr. Merrill was President and founder of Cederian Investments, a Registered Investment Advisory firm offering actively managed investment strategies to individual clients.
At Cederian, he was the portfolio manager for eleven value-focused equity and fixed income portfolios as well as a long/short hedge fund.
Before launching Cederian, he served as a voting member of the Small Cap Investment Committee at Brandes Investment Partners.
Mr. Merrill was also a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Brandes, with primary responsibility for global coverage of the chemical industry.
Prior to joining Brandes in 2003, he worked in finance and treasury roles at Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Merrill received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BS (magna cum laude) in accounting from Brigham Young University.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
