T. A. Ariyapala

Regional Development Bank (RDB) is a Sri Lankan bank that was established in 1985 as district level banks under the category of Regional Rural Development Banks. The company is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 1997, seventeen such rural regional development banks were merged into six provincial level banks, which functioned as RDB. The bank provides doorstep banking services and loans and advances to its customers. RDB has introduced a website called Seilama.lk for entrepreneurs to market their products in the digital space. The bank is ultimately controlled by the Government of Sri Lanka. T. A. Ariyapala has been the CEO of the Sri Lankan company since 2015.

The company was founded on July 1, 1961 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
