AquaSensors LLC
AquaSensors LLC Electronic Equipment/InstrumentsElectronic Technology AquaSensors™ designs and manufactures innovative analytical measurement systems for process control applications. Its unique product design reduces equipment and installation costs while improving reliability in a wide variety of applications. Current measurements include pH, ORP, contacting conductivity, toroidal conductivity, dissolved oxygen (ppm), trace DO (ppb), dissolved ozone, resistivity, drinking water turbidity, raw water turbidity, suspended solids and free chlorine. The firm's patented DataStick™ measurement system features pre-calibrated plug-in sensor heads that provide 24-bit data and can be calibrated, configured or diagnosed directly from a PLC or computer system. No intermediate analyzer boxes are necessary. Its AnalogPlus™ sensors and analyzers are used in more traditional analytical measurement applications. Integral Communications A wide variety of integrated network protocols are supported directly from the DataStick™ sensor system including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, DeviceNet, Profibus DPV0/DPV1, USB and RS-232. The DataStick™ consumes very little power and can be used in portable applications - usually with USB connections to laptops or handheld computers. Multiple DataSticks can be accessed directly using a standard Web browser, terminal program, AquaComm™ for Windows, or PLC programs. Local Display and Control For local display and calibration of any DataStick™ system, its low cost AV38 display interface can be used. The AV38 supports multiple DataSticks™ and provides current outputs for traditional data reporting and PID control. Relays are provided for control and alarm, and a variety of communications protocols are available for remote display, calibration and configuration of DataStick measurement systems. DataStick™ systems run on 24 volts DC and have hazardous location approval from UL. Low cost AC power solutions are also available. The firm's AnalogPlus™ line of analytical measurement systems features traditional cabled sensors with improved reliability and accuracy. All AnalogPlus™ sensors can be used with its AV88 Universal Analyzer and many can also be used with other industry standard analyzers. Measurement Details Its pH and ORP sensors in both the DataStick™ and AnalogPlus™ product lines use differential measurement technology which reduces measurement interference, improves stability over time and makes it possible to refurbish the reference junction. Properly cared for, these differential pH and ORP sensors can last for years of continuous use. The firm's toroidal conductivity sensors are very reliable from 0 to 2 Siemens/cm and can resolve 1 uS/cm. The sensor performs very well in CIP applications where sensors can be subjected to high pressure and temperature stress. Its contacting conductivity sensors can be ordered with 0.01, 0.1, 1.0 and 5.0 cell constants. The DataStick™ version of these sensors has 30% more range than standard sensors and is more immune to electrical noise and cable length. Dissolved Oxygen, Trace DO, Ozone and Free Chlorine amperometric sensors are very stable and long lasting. They are easily refurbished with new electrolyte and pre-stretched membrane caps. Screens and guards can be ordered with these sensors to protect membranes from damage and fouling. The firm's Drinking Water Turbidity System follows US EPA 180.1 method guidelines with a white light lamp and 90 degree measurement. The complete system with bubble trap, light source, detector, display, current outputs, measurement chamber and junction box fits on a single 12 inch square mounting plate. The system responds accurately in seconds. Only 135 ml of Formazin is needed for calibration and the lamp lasts for years. It is accurate to 0.001 NTU. Like all DataStick systems, it can be networked directly with a number of communications protocols. AquaSensors™ Raw Water Turbidity System follows ISO 7027 guidelines with IR light and can measure accurately from 0 to 4000 NTU. This system can also be configured to measure suspended solids from 0 to 20,000 mg/l (0 to 2%). All of its sensors also measure temperature. This is used for compensation of primary parameters where appropriate or for direct reporting of process conditions. Hardware AquaSensors™ supports all of its measurement systems with a full line of mounting hardware that includes tees, ball floats, union mounts, ball valves, sanitary fittings, and immersion hardware. Sensor head wash units are also available. Location The AquaSensors™ team is in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and has representatives and distributors throughout the world. | Ventas & Marketing | 13/08/2010 |
