Tony R. Gage

Mr. Gage is a Director at Sky Investment Counsel.
His professional career spanned over twenty years at Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd.
in Vancouver, British Columbia.
First, as a senior member of the Fixed Income Group beginning in 1984, then, as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 1999, and finally as Chair of the Board.
Earlier in his career, he was Assistant Vice President and Director of Confed Investment Counseling Ltd., the pension fund management arm of former Confederation Life Insurance Co. Mr. Gage brings with him over 30 years of experience in the area of employee benefits investments.
He has also served diverse mandates, including a Board position at the Down Syndrome Research Foundation and a faculty membership for the Advanced Trustee Management Standards (ATMS)'s certification program, offered by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Mr. Tony Gage graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria, and holds a Master Degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and an accredited Chartered Director (McMaster University).
