Wolfgang Fichtner

Wolfgang Fichtner has been Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Silicon Engineering Group of Synopsys, Inc. since December 2006 and a Professor and the Head of the Integrated Systems Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology since 1985.
Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of TCAD Products for Synopsys from November 2004 to December 2006 and President and Chief Executive Officer of ISE Integrated Systems Engineering AG from 1993 to November 2004.
He was Chairman for the Electrical Engineering Department of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology from October 1999 to October 2004.
Dr. Fichtner held various positions at Bell Laboratories from 1978 to 1985.
He received an MS degree in Physics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Vienna.
