(Investment Management) (COAMC-IM) is the investment management division of State-owned China Orient Asset Management Corp., a subsidiary of the government of China's Ministry of Finance. Created in 1999 to safeguard state-owned assets, dissolve financial risks and promote the reform of state-owned enterprises, COAMC-IM is based in Beijing and has branch offices throughout China. In 2006, the firm issued the first asset-backed security in China, based on non performing loans in Liaoning Province.
