André Roux

Mr. André Roux is a Portfolio Manager at Ninety One SA (Pty) Ltd.
Previously he had spent 14 years leading and developing the South African fixed income business.
Prior to joining the firm, he was the deputy director general of the Department of Finance, where he took responsibility for macroeconomic, fiscal and tax policy and intergovernmental fiscal relations.
Prior to that, he spent two years at the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
This followed an academic career during which he published on fiscal and development issues.
He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Economics from Cambridge University, a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cape Town.
