Basile Gerber

Basile manages the team in charge of Portfolio Management and Fund Financings.
As Head of Portfolio, he is monitoring the portfolio daily, as well as performing Fund/investment analysis, valuations and investor reporting.
Next to that, he is also in charge of raising debt for Kartesia’s Funds by sourcing, executing and monitoring Asset-based Leverage, Equity-Bridge and hedging transactions.
Basile transitioned from Portfolio manager to Head of Portfolio in January 2021.
Before joining Kartesia as Portfolio Manager in 2017, Basile had 5 years of experience in Private Debt and Real Estate by working as an Associate in the Asset Management department of Apollo Global Management, covering European distressed real estate debt funds.
His responsibilities included conducting due diligence, along with managing and restructuring distressed loans in France, Ireland, Spain and the UK.
Prior to that, Basile was part of the European Investment Bank’s restructuring division, focusing on operations outside Europe.
He also worked in Deloitte Consulting’s Capital Market division.
Basile holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Science in Management from Grenoble Graduate School of Business
