Christian Robert Kopf

Mr. Christian Robert Kopf, CFA, is a Head of Pension Fund Management at Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH.
He assumes responsibility for the 53 employees currently working in fixed income management and for assets of around €62 billion.
He will report directly to Björn Jesch and be a member of the Union Investment Committee.
He is also a long-standing member of various high-profile advisory panels and discussion forums, both for macro issues and strategically important capital markets subjects, such as the European Monetary Union.
His most recent role was as a Partner at Spinnaker Capital in London, an investment management company specializing in investments in emerging markets.
After joining in 2006, he was initially responsible for global economic analysis and the investment strategy for emerging markets bonds.
In 2012, he was made a Partner in the company and Head of the Global Investment Committee.
He held joint responsibility for the macro segment, which covers investments in government bonds, interest-rate products, foreign exchange, and was the fund manager of the Spinnaker Emerging Markets Macro Fund.
Before moving to London, he had spent seven years at DWS Investments in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for the global emerging markets fixed income unit.
Besides his extensive experience and expertise as a macro strategist and in fixed income and foreign exchange management, he has established an excellent network of contacts in major institutions, including the European Commission, the International Monetary Fund, the Bank of England, and the European Central Bank.
He has a degree in economics and is a CFA charter holder.
