Dan Trotter

Dan Trotter, CA, is the Regional Managing Partner for Meyers Norris Penny’s Eastman region.
As the leader for the region, Dan’s extensive accounting and advisory experience allows him to effectively empower his team members to deliver innovative business strategies that help their clients achieve their goals.
Dan works closely with his regional team members to develop tax-efficient business structures, tax-minimizing strategies and effective tax-compliance solutions that help MNP clients stay competitive and profitable.
By assisting clients with their tax planning needs, Dan and his team can anticipate tax issues over the short term as well as develop long-term strategies to optimize the structure of their succession and estate plans.
Dan also helps his clients manage audit and business risks, anticipate potential issues and provide recommendations to improve systems and processes.
He prides himself on being receptive to clients’ needs and delivering a range of solutions that go beyond traditional accounting, including business plan development, valuations, due diligence, purchase or sale negotiations, and financing.
Prior earning his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1985, Dan received his Bachelor of Administration degree from Brandon University in 1980.
Active in his community, Dan has held a number of volunteer positions, including: Chamber of Commerce President; Economic Development Board Vice President; School Board Trustee; and Community Centre President.
Over the years he has also worked extensively with various youth and sport’s associations.
