Mr. David I.
Hoffman
is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Columbia Management Investment Advisers LLC.
He is co-lead portfolio manager on a mid-cap value product and portfolio manager on a smid-cap value product.
He joined one of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments legacy firms in 2001.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Hoffman held other key research positions, including director of equity research, deputy director of research, and senior research analyst.
Previously, he worked for Zurich Scudder Investments in several capacities.
In addition to serving as an equity analyst covering consumer staples companies and real estate investment trusts, he co-managed a dividend and growth fund, and co-managed the firm’s value team of more than 20 portfolio managers and analysts.
His earlier investment experience includes tenure as managing director, portfolio manager and analyst at HVB Asset Management, and as a vice president in real estate investments at Hypo Bank and its affiliates.
He began his career in financial services at Swiss Bank Corp.
He has been a member of the investment community since 1986.
He received a B.A. in American and Russian studies from Grinnell College and an M.A. in international affairs from Columbia University.
