Macquarie Capital (Europe) Ltd. (MCEL) is the London-based subsidiary of Macquarie Group Ltd. (SY: MQG), a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and fund management services. Operating as part of the Macquarie Capital Advisers division, MCEL provides investment advisory services in the UK and in continental Europe. In relation with Macquarie Securities Group, they provide access to Asia Pacific markets for European clients. In terms of research, MCEL supplies macro-economic, markets and stock level analysis to a diverse range of clients. Their capabilities cover equity, debt, ForEx, futures, metals and mining worldwide, economics and strategy. In 2009 Macquarie Group acquired the international brokerage firm Fox-Pitt Kelton Cochran Caronia Waller LLC. The London branch Fox-Pitt, Kelton Ltd. was absorbed into MCEL.

Fox-Pitt, Kelton Ltd. (Broker) is the London-based subsidiary of Fox-Pitt Kelton Ltd. (FPK), in the UK, ultimately held by Fox-Pitt Kelton LLC in the US. The firm was founded in London in 1971 and was acquired by Swiss Re in 1999. In 2006 a new company formed by J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC and FPK employees acquired FPK from Swiss Re. An affiliate of J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC is the majority shareholder and FPK management and employees are significant shareholders with Swiss Re holding a minority interest in the company. The firm's research products are distributed through an international team of sales persons and sales traders serving major institutional investors worldwide. Their clients include pension funds, mutual and unit trust managers, insurers, bank investment departments, hedge funds and private client asset managers
