Debdoot Banerjee

Debdoot Banerjee is the Director, Digital Strategy and Transformation working with the Accion Global Advisory Solutions team, based in India.
Debdoot leads on scoping the digital transformation of Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and defines the specific steps to achieve the desired result of reaching the customer with digitally delivered financial services.
In this role, he engages with boards and senior managers of FSPs to develop vision and scope for multi-year digital transformation initiatives.
He also develops integrated transformation projects – from conceptualization to ownership of implementation, as well as supports the creation of business models for products and services, especially those focused on digital transformation and digital financial services.
Prior to joining Accion, Debdoot was the Head of Products at Jana Small Finance Bank products, digital banking, and alliances.
Debdoot has launched the micro-savings product for financially excluded segments, affordable housing loans as well as business loan product for small business with innovative evaluation techniques.
Debdoot has completed a certification in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania and Post Graduate Program in Global Business Operation from the University of Delhi.
Debdoot speaks English, Hindi, and Bengali.
