John A.
Sokol has been Senior Vice President-Eastern Hemisphere International at Cal Dive International, Inc. since February 2007.
He held various senior management positions at Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc., including Senior Vice President-Deepwater Contracting from March 2003 to February 2007.
Mr. Sokol joined Helix Energy Solutions Group in April 1997 as an Estimator and Project Manager.
His experience includes Project Manager and Design Engineer for Oceaneering International at Ventura and international experience as Freelance Diver and Diving Superintendent.
Mr. Sokol spent 5 years in the US Navy as a Salvage and Saturation Diver.
He received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California in Berkeley and an MS degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the California Polytechnic Institute in San Luis Obispo.
