Joseph S. Coyne

Dr. Joseph S.
Coyne is a Director at National Healthcare Services.
He also Director of the Center for International Health Services Research and Policy at Washington State University Spokane, Interim Chair and Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Administration.
He has taught financial management, risk/decision analysis, and international health services analysis courses to over 1500 students through faculty positions at USC, UCLA, University of Colorado, Indiana University, the Wharton School of Finance, Peking University Health Sciences Center in Beijing, China, the University of Lugano in Lugano, Switzerland, and Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
Dr. Coyne research has been funded with over $1.1 million in extramural support as Principal Investigator and his operational experience includes Vice President of Operations for a 100,000 member HMO, serving as a senior partner in an international information technology company, and serving as a financial adviser to numerous health services companies and investment firms, including: U.S.
Department of Health & Human Services, Chase Manhattan Bank, University of California Office of the President, UCLA Medical Center, Stanford Medical Center, California Department of Corporations, Rush Presbyterian Medical Center, American Hospital Association, French Ministry of Health, German Ministry of Health, Danish Ministry of Health and Beijing Association of Teaching Hospitals.
Dr. Coyne has been twice designated a W.K.
Kellogg Fellow in healthcare financial management and is the 2004 recipient of the WSU Faculty Excellence Award for his scholarly contributions.
Dr. Coyne is a founding member of the National Healthcare Services Board of Directors and is Chairman of the WSU Health Policy and Administration Advisory Board.
