EVM invests in a wide range of financial instruments and asset classes. Their evaluation of investment alternatives places primary emphasis and reliance upon fundamental analysis of issuers of equity and debt securities; political, economic, and industry developments; money and capital market conditions, with attention to interest rate patterns; and any other factors that, in EVM’s judgment, may have an impact on the value of an investment.

Cambiar is an active investor and benchmark agnostic. The firm seeks to capitalize on the market's short-term dysfunction to find quality companies poised for long-term success. In selecting investments, they utilize a fundamental, relative value investment approach to build a diversified portfolio of companies. Each investment team member/investment analyst is responsible for identifying investment opportunities within their assigned sectors/industries.

ECM uses several approaches to select and manage their clients' assets. The firm’s selection of assets for their clients can range from computer-generated analysis to analysis of balance sheets and cash flows, to the quality of management and their ability to efficiently and effectively allocate capital based on various internal projected returns of such allocated capital. In selecting securities or other assets for their clients, they use a quantitative approach which is not dictated quantitative approach.
