As a general partner at defy, I am fortunate to partner with and support exceptional entrepreneurs from the earliest days.
Whether through working on my own companies or by partnering with other founders, I’ve been fortunate to experience day zero to hyper-growth and everything in between.
I’ve felt the ups and downs and the highs and lows that company building entails – I’ve felt like I was going to be hugely successful and that nothing was working 10 times all in the same hour.
That’s entrepreneurship.
It’s one of the hardest jobs in the world.
Building a company takes grit and perseverance and it can be a really lonely experience.
Most recently, I was a Partner at Redpoint Ventures for seven years focused on early stage investments across fintech, vertical saas, marketplaces, and healthcare.
I had the opportunity to partner with some incredible founders and category defining companies including Whatnot, Tend, Proper Finance, LiveKit, Anvyl, and others.
It’s been incredible to see how far they have come since I originally became involved.
I’ve learned a lot from these entrepreneurs and teams.
I’m grateful that they let me join them in a small way on their journeys and equally grateful to call them friends.
I studied Social Studies at Harvard College.
A social science enthusiast at heart, I find the ways people interact to be fascinating.
I’ve never come across a personality test (I’m an ESTJ) or social psychology theory that I didn’t find interesting! I also had the opportunity to row lightweight crew for the Harvard Radcliffe Varsity team.
