Michael Rothgang

Dr. Michael Rothgang is a Researcher at RWI - Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung e.V.
He joined RWI in January 2000.
Since July 2014, he has been a Researcher at the research department "Environment and Resources." At RWI, the ombudsman assists all researchers in questions involving good scientific practice and scientific misconduct.
He was Deputy Division Chief "Enterprises and Innovation" from 2008 to 2014.
During his dissertation in ecological economics, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.
He was a leader of evaluation projects in technological and labor market policies recently.
He researched innovation processes and R&D collaborations, innovation systems, and technology transfer on R&D activities and research strategies of business firms.
He studied economics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and Wayne State University, Detroit.
