Michael W. Dennis

Dr. Dennis is the Special Assistant to the Director of Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS).
In this role Dr. Dennis assists the Director, Mr. Robert J.
Massie, in a wide variety of tasks and projects.
In addition, Dr. Dennis is the CAS Legal Administration Manager.
In this role he is responsible for legal administration, including the completion of all contracts at CAS.
Dr. Dennis joined CAS in 1997 from Metcalf & Eddy, a global environmental consulting and engineering firm, where he was Senior Chemist.
He is active in the American Chemical Society (ACS), American Assoc.
for the Adv.
of Sci.
(AAAS); and the American, Ohio, and Columbus Bar Associations.
In addition, he is a Board Member of the following organizations: NFAIS (National Federation of Abstracting and Information Services), the Business and Technology Center (BTC), the Chemical Trust Association (CTA) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
Dr. Dennis earned a Ph.D.
in biochemistry from the Ohio State University, and a JD from Capital University.
