Paul N. Thornton

Paul N.
Thornton has been a Director of Watson Wyatt & Co. Holdings since 2000.
He joined Watson Wyatt LLP (R.
Watson & Sons) in 1974.
Mr. Thornton is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1975.
He is a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Actuarial Association, Chairman of the Committee of the IAA Dealing with Pensions and Employee Benefits and a Member of the Committee of the International Association of Consulting Actuaries.
Mr. Thornton is Chairman of the Pensions Committee of the Groupe Consultatif.
He was appointed as Chairman of the Partnership Board of Watson Wyatt in May 2001.
Mr. Thornton served as Non-Executive Director of Artilium Plc until November 5, 2008.
He was Head of the International Practice for R.
Watson & Sons and was Chairman of Watson Wyatt Holdings Europe.
Mr. Thornton was Chairman of the UK Association of Consulting Actuaries from June 1997 to June 1998 and President of the UK Institute of Actuaries from July 1998 to July 2000.
He received an Honors degree in Mathematics from Oxford University.
