Seiji Kawazoe

Mr. Seiji Kawazoe is an Associate General Manager at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Ltd.
He joined Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd.
in 1987, experienced several junior positions in business operations and currency trading.
Since 1995, he has moved to asset management and investment section at the bank, and he gained professional experience as a fund manager and as a senior fund manager for Global Equities for institutional accounts.
He has been based in various locations (Tokyo, New York, London and Luxembourg) where he gained deeper insights into the global financial industry, particularly in the field of equity investments, including corporate disclosure issues and regulatory frameworks.
He has taken on global business development including ESG services at Sumitomo Trust with a strong interest in ESG issues, after he returned to Tokyo office.
Mr. Kawazoe graduated from University of Tokyo, obtained BA on social psychology.
He is a CFA charter holder and has obtained an MBA at London Business School.
