Shafiqul Alam

Shafiqul Alam is currently serving as the Vice Chairman at the Association of Bankers Bangladesh Ltd.
He is also an Independent Director at AB Bank Plc, a Director at AB Investment Ltd., and a Member-Executive Board at the Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
In the past, Mr. Alam held positions such as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director at Jamuna Bank Plc, Chairman at Primary Dealers Bangladesh Ltd.
and Jamuna Bank Securities Ltd., Head-Operations & Additional Managing Director at United Commercial Bank Plc, Deputy Managing Director at Prime Bank Plc, and Deputy Managing Director at First Security Islami Bank Plc.
Mr. Alam completed his graduate degree from the University of Dhaka in 1980.
