Prior to joining AllianceBernstein in 1999, Dr. Thomas Fontaine was a senior quantitative analyst at Sanford, responsible for the research and development of the US Structured Equity products, as well as the design of the firm's global equity portfolio analytics systems.

Bernstein & Co. in 1999, he was a quantitative analyst at Tudor Investment Corporation, where he designed automated futures trading systems.
Mr. Fontaine earned a BS, cum laude, in both Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988 and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
He has earned the Global Association of Risk Professionals Financial Risk Manager certification.
He is a CFA Charterholder.
